Israel's Regional Posture Amid Significant Geo-Strategic Challenges

The difference between the military and diplomatic dimensions in strategic posture have rarely been so evident as in Israel’s current regional framework, almost two years after the October 7 attack. While Hamas may be down but not out, and the Houthies managed to effectively blockade the port of Eilat, three stronger enemies have been soundly defeated by the IDF - namely Hezbollah, Syria and Iran. The military balance therefore favors Israel, yet politically, for all intents and purposes, it is mainly supported by one single major world power, albeit the leading and most important one. Many of the world's capitals are now saying that they will soon tire of the Gaza War and will most likely recognize Palestinian Statehood. So how is Israel coping with these challenges? And is it possible to arrive at a well-balanced political-military solution?
