Iran's Nuclear Ambitions: Does diplomacy have a chance?

Faced with the stark reality of long-frozen sanctions about to make a comeback, promising to impact the struggling economy even more than its suffering population has been used to, Iran is attempting to find a diplomatic way out of the simmering crisis around its military nuclear ambitions. The Iranians are talking with the European Union and major regional powers, but have yet to find a formula which could satisfy both their insistence on enriching uranium and the American refusal to allow it. So three months after the June War with Israel, what is now the current state of play?
