On the positive side of the ledger, from its point of view, it did not concede defeat even under the most severe sanctions imposed on its economy in the American “maximum pressure”. Offsetting it, the Iranians are watching the emergence of an American-Israeli-Arab Gulf alliance against their militant outreach. So what is the score, at this time in the contest?
